Tube-Travel: The Hyperloop track in California

The legendary entrepreneur Elon Musk's idea of introducing a new form of transport, where people would travel in extremely high speed capsules through long, interconnected tubes, is getting closer to reality.

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has signed an agreement with a developer in central California to build a five mile Hyperloop line which will serve as a prototype in an area along Interstate 5.
It is expected to start functioning completely by 2019 with an estimated $100 million invested in it. It is expected cross speeds of over 200 mph.

The proposed plan will cover 7500 acres of California with the proposed route in Quay Valley, which is the central valley in California, covering 25,000 houses and  alongside hotels, restaurants and a business park.
However, the initial 5 mile track might be opened to the public in California next year.
