Motorola Launches Moto E (Gen 2) At Rs. 6999


Motorola stormed the Indian markets last year in May with its cheapest Smartphone Moto E which it launched at a very base and cheap price of Rs. 6999 and the phone was sold out within hours of going online on Flipkart. The phone along with Moto G and Moto X rocketed Motorola among the top Smartphone companies at a phase when Motorola wasn't doing good.

After the successful Moto G (Gen 2) and the Moto X (Gen 2), Motorola announced the Moto E (Gen 2) on Wednesday with 2 versions : The first is the 3G version and the second is the 4G LTE version. Motorola immediately announced the price for 3G version at Rs. 6999 which is same as the original launch price of Moto E. Motorola hasn't revealed whether the LTE version will release in India or not. And like all its Smartphones, this phone will also be an exclusive Flipkart release.
Motorola has packed plenty new things in this new Moto E in terms of performance as well as the looks. We had earlier informed you about its release and the rumors have now been confirmed.

What's New In Moto E (Gen 2) ?

4G Connection

Motorola has upgraded this phone with a 4G LTE connection so surfing the net and downloading will now be much faster and easier. Motorola has also released a 3G version

All Day Battery

Motorola has upgraded its battery from 1980 mAh to a 2390 mAh battery. This means that the phone will perform for a whole day without any glitches or a need to charge the phone.

2 Cameras

Moto E had a single rear camera with 5 MP and fixed focus. The new Moto E consists of 5 MP but with auto focus but it still doesn't sport LED Flash. The new Moto E sports a 0.3 MP VGA front camera to take selfies.

Quad Core Processor

Moto E had Snapdragon 200 Dual Core 1.2 GHz processor. The new Moto E houses a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 Quad Core processor for the 3G version while the LTE version is powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306. The phone will have Single-SIM while the first-generation Moto E consisted of Dual-SIM.

Android 5.0 Lollipop OS

While the original Moto E ran on Android 4.4 KitKat, the new Moto E will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop making it the first Smartphone running the latest Android version out-of-the-box launched under Rs. 10,000.

More Storage

Moto E housed 4GB of Internal Storage with expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The New Moto E houses 8GB of Internal  Storage with expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). 

Bigger Display

The new Moto E features a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) offering a pixel density of 256ppi. The first-generation Moto E came with a 4.3-inch qHD display.

The release date of this new Moto E hasn't been revealed yet but we hope that it comes sooner.
