Oppo R5, when launched in October 2014 was the thinnest smartphone available and the phone is going to storm the Indian markets on February 20 with the Limited Gold Edition OPPO R5 at a price tag of Rs. 29,990, same as its original variant.
The phone with a thickness of just 4.85mm will face a stiff competition in India from Gionee's Elife S5.1 and Vivo X5 Max. The specifications of the limited edition and the original variant are the same and their thickness of just 4.85mm makes them one of the slimmest smartphones in India.
The ultra thin smartphone sports 5.2 inch HD AMOLED display with Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor (2.1GHz quad-core + 1.5GHz quad-core) alongside with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The phone has 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5 MP front camera. It has 16 GB internal memory which is non expandable. It features its own ColorOS which is based on Android Kitkat.
