Voice calling buttons show up in Whatsapp iPhone App

Just after the recent news of Android users reporting the rollout of Whatsapp free voice calling for their devices, In no time, iOS users with the latest version of whatsapp have noticed the presence of two call buttons in the new interface.
But on having rechecked, we found that the two new call buttons in the interface redirect the users to the standard iPhone dialer rather than making a call through whatsapp. Maybe this will change when whatsapp officially rolls out the additonal feature.

There are two new call buttons visible in the latest version of whatsapp(2.11.15) available on the  app store. One which is visible exactly besides the contacts display picture within the chat and the other is present in the top pane which reads 'Call'. The addition of these two buttons to the interface surely have some connection to the upcoming whatsapp calling feature and will be functional only once the feature OS announced officially by Apple.
The much awaited Whatsapp Calling feature is not a rumour and was confirmed to be in development last year by the CEO himself. CEO Jan Koum had said that the feature would rollout officially in the Q1 of 2015. The company still has two more months to keep its word. The CEO had said that the team was facing glitches in matters like noise cancellation and implementation of the calling feature in poor data coverage areas.
