Kickass Torrents has become victim to a domain name seizure which has rendered it's .so(Somali) domain non-functional. It displays an error message when there is an attempt to access the website The site has already been blocked in the UK as a result of direct High Court Orders.
The Somali Registry was considered to be very safe for the website, from the prying eyes of copyright holders, corporates and lawyers.
It is not new that Kickass has changed several domains over the years, and has been targeted several times as a result of immense amount of web traffic.
The good news is that it has gone back to its .to domain thus enabling all functionality back. But for now, it seems that the copyright industry has taken one big step to curb piracy by targeting the biggest Torrent website.
