Microsoft released Windows 10 for phones with a new program called “technical preview” recently. But it has flaws, which, even Microsoft doesn’t deny about as this builds are meant to be tested and not actually be used for daily purposes. This program includes a series of updates which should be rolling on monthly basis.
So what could be the things that Microsoft will include in the next update?
1) Support for more phones-
The main issue with Windows 10 is that it’s only available to limited devices. This list of devices may increase in the next update.
2) Bug Fixes For existing phones-
The next thing, most probably, have to be bug fixes! There are some bugs that are phone specific.
Mostly are with the Lumia 730. They should be fixed in the next update.
3) More stock app updates-
Apps like Photos, calculator, etc were updated and included many new features. Though some apps
weren’t updated as shown in the 21st January event by Microsoft. The apps like Music, Calendar may be updated and get the new refreshed interface.
4) Updates to ‘Photos’ app-
The photos app in Windows 10 for phones is redesigned and also is much more capable now. But
some features aren’t just available yet. This may update with the new build.
5) Update to ‘Cortana’-
Cortana, in windows 8.1 was pretty nice and helpful. But, some old features aren’t available in this
build. These should be available now with future updates.
6) More UI customization-
The new UI is awesome and reflects the status of windows 10. But some UI elements are missed
from Windows Phone 8.1. Things like wallpapers for within tiles with the parallax effect will be
returning with new updates and you may have an option to choose the UI you prefer from between
transparent tiles or the parallax effect.
7) More language support-
More speech and keyboard languages will be added too.
Many more things are missing and should be added in future updates though its not possible to confirm the number of things that will be added in the next update. However, many of these things are anticipated. And also the apps are said to be updated via the windows store which makes it possible to update them before the phone update. Though, nothing can be said.
