If you’ve got a TV and been watching it often it’s assumable you have seen the ad for this TV streaming app. The rebel in the gang, the action watcher among drama, the football fan among cricket fans, the fiction fan between reality audiences #Gosolo is the official tag for this app. Hotstar live TV app for Android and iOS launched this January on Google Playstore and an update of the app is available as of February 4. This app lets you watch TV episodes, Match Highlights, Clips from important moments and Celebrity awards. What’s catchy is that it bundles an entire app of this with an excellent and bold interface.

FUNCTIONALITY, For a TV app it deceivers exactly what it stands for. However improvements could be made on the Quality of the Video and the audio. The app plays videos in 3GP for 2G connections and Mp4 for Wi-Fi connections you cannot expect HD streaming even on your high-speed connection. You cannot change the quality of the video yourself from the app it totally depends on your internet connection. The Serials are just Set top box recorded ones from TV full with Ads and Channel animations.

MUSIC WHAT IS THAT? , The app apparently only has one thing closest to a music channel and that is V and other than that this has no music channels. Searches failed for all music channels such as vH1, 9Xo, 9xM, MTV, ETV, etc. and their respective programmes. The app also does not include mainstream or offbeat channels and their shows such as CBS prime, FX, Comedy central, Fox Crime, Zee studio, etc. Marketed as and app for youngsters and people with different taste this was a serious downfall.
SPORTS
The app delivers only cricket as of now, it displays special batting moments and certain match highlights and few full length matches. It includes all the latest clips from live match one might want to rewind on the Sports YouTube channel. Apart from cricket matches the App also lets you watch and download award ceremonies and events.
DOWNLOADS, the app needs you to make a quick sign-up for downloading videos to your smartphone. This need no require an email verification as it has easy Sign-In options available. So don’t wait go download with this new app.
