Tired of playing touchscreen games? Apple Inc. patents a JOYSTICK for iDevice home button!

A patent had been filed on July 9, 2013 by Colin Ely and Fletcher Rothkopf (Prooduct design executives of Apple Inc.). This patent was for a brand new multi-functioning input device which enables iPhone and iPad Home Button to transform into JOYSTICK whenever needed. On 15th January 2015, the Patent Office also awarded for it.
It has been noted that playing games on touchscreen limits the real gaming experience. When one plays game using touchscreen, he's unable to see the full mobile screen while playing because of his hands on screen.
Understanding this, Apple Inc. has introduced concept of JOYSTICK.

The new patent states that the Home Button can be used in two modes.
First Mode- The button with flat/plane surface which you can currently see on iPad and iPhone. This mode will enable you to meet the normal functions of the device like unlock the iDevice using the Touch ID, reverting to the home screen by pressing it once and also activating Siri by a long press.
Second Mode- The second mode is the JOYSTICK mode.

HOW TO SWITCH MODES?
You can conveniently switch to JOYSTICK mode from Home Button by just pulling it down. There's a spring mechanism beneath the button. This spring mechanism enables the Joystick to pop out few millimeters as soon as you switch it to JOYSTICK mode.
