Well they are in news again but for something
different this time.
California: Apple is facing a
lawsuit gains the storage of its iPhone, iPad and iPods.
A lawsuit was filed against Apple
on Tuesday in California, alleging that apple has not
disclosed to the users that the iOS 8 software update used up almost 23%
of storage on the 8GB and 16GB iPhone models. They claim that there is a
difference between the space advertised an the actual space available on
the device.
On the other hand, instead of providing its users
the advertised amount they are pushing their customers to upgrade
their iCloud storage to a higher storage capacity.
The new operating system takes around 1.1GB
of storage space and need around 5.8 GB to
install wirelessly. On the contrary the iOS
7 update needed only 3.3GB of space via wireless download.
When people downloaded the iOS 8
operating system they were sure that they will need to free up some space
to install the software. many had to delete their photos and videos
from the device to free up the space needed to download the software.
The major problem would have been for
the iPhone 4S users since it would reportedly slow down the models
quite significantly like the iPhone 4 on the iOS 7 update.
