Are you a type of user that is extremely particular about the audio quality coming out from their mobile devices? Well if you are one, there are options out there that will surely help improve your phone’s audio output quality, and the good news is that if you are a OnePlus One owner and you’d rather not spend money on purchasing a portable amplifier for your device or getting a new phone, OnePlus has an announcement that should surely work well with you.
Yes, you are guessing it right!
OnePlus is teaming up with Waves MaxxAudio for a new equalizer technology, exclusively for the One.
Posting on its blog, the company had recently announced that OnePlus One users can look forward to an update in the near future that will introduce Waves Audio’s MaxxAudio technology on their device. This is thanks to the OnePlus’ partnership with the company, which at the same time is seeing Cyanogen Inc. working to introduce the technology into their next OTA update.
For those who are wondering what exactly the big deal is, well basically the MaxxAudio update will allow users to enjoy audio with deeper bass, clearer highs, crisp mids and louder volume levels. It is also expected to provide a more immersive sound from the built-in speakers, attached headphones, and connected Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC music streaming devices.
Now we haven’t tried it out for ourselves yet so we can’t really speak about its quality, but at the same time an update that improves audio quality that’s free and doesn’t require a change in hardware? Sure, why not?
The update is finally scheduled for a release via OTA next month, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for it.
