LG Announces An All Metal Luxury Smartwatch


As the wearable technology is starting to rise plateau of its hype and making its way in the field of technology with every giant manufacturer is trying to make its own smartwatch, South Korean electronic giant LG has announced its smartwatch called the LG Watch Urbane. By the looks of it, it seems to be LG's entry into the luxury smartwatch segment as the LG Watch Urbane is looking extremely stylish and has full metallic body available in "gold" and "silver" finishes. LG will reveal this luxury time piece at MWC 2015 which is scheduled to be from 2-5 March 2015.

The watch has the same 1.3-inch P-OLED screen with the resolution of 320x320 pixels like the LG  G Watch and the LG G Watch R but this time the watch has a luxury feel to it as the watch's body will have a metallic finish with a 22mm swappable leather strap. The watch houses a 410 mAh battery with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and also includes a heart rate sensor. It will have 4 GB of internal storage with 512 MB RAM and will be dust and water resistant.
With the earlier G Watch and the G Watch R falling into the casual categories, this new smartwatch by LG seems to be competing with the Apple Watch in the luxury category. The watch is expected to appeal to men an women both. The price for this smartwatch with other details will all be unveiled at MWC 2015
